tips on weight loss after pregnancy?

I asked this in “pregnancy” and didn’t get much answers…hopefully i can get more in this section.

I’m 37 weeks and 2 days and i’ve gained a lot of weight during this pregnancy.
I started at 144 and now im at 200 :(

It’s really bothering me because i eat healthy and i’m very active. My OB told me that all the juice i’ve been drinking made me gain my weight.

I’ve been really depressed because I’m scared I won’t be able to lose the weight. When I was younger I had weight issues and I solved that by playing school sports and barely eating.

I plan on breastfeeding (and pumping).
Does anybody have any tips on what else I can do to facilitate weight loss?

For starters, I know exactly how you feel. I gained way too much weight during my first pregnancy.

Breastfeeding will truly help you loose weight. After my daughter was born, I nursed her full time until she was 6 months old and part time after that until she was almost 2. I walked daily, did a 30 minutes kickboxing workout 2 or 3 times a week (or any other random workout video, you can get them for very cheap, just need a tv and some space) and ate a sensible diet (no extreme dieting because I wanted to be sure I provided enough milk for my daughter. Not to mention, nursing burns about 500 cal. a day). I took me a little while to loose the weight, but I did get down to a healthy weight. My body still wasn’t the same, but at least I looked good in my clothes again. :D
